"Grandpa's Garage"

A Landmark in Downtown De Soto, Grandpa's Garage was home to Dean Weller and his custom-built car collection including many of his favorite, the Model A.  This building is owned by a local family but they allow us to use it for a Brewery :)

Step into the beautifully preserved 1902 Ford Building, where historic charm meets an eclectic collection of vintage furniture and glassware, come feel like you're drinking GREAT beer at your Grandparents house :)

The Wallers

Alex and Lindsay Waller have always excelled at burning their candles at both ends. Alex is a curious engineer and gardener and Lindsay was an herbal inspired Art Teacher for 12 years - beginning her career here in USD 232. We really fell in love with craft beer in 2020 and shortly after moved to De Soto scheming to make something happen in the downtown district that was begging for more action.

We ran with "grandpa's garage" and our love for thrifted things to create a casual but slightly eccentric spot for everyone to enjoy hand made craft beer and cocktails, local art and local music. The longer we're around, the more the locals and regulars are making it the best place to be together.

What are Medicinal Herbs?

It's science: Plants are healing and we believe in the healing power of plants. It's not voo-doo and it's not illegal - it's basil and lemongrass and you don't need to be scared but should definitely know more about them.

Finding out that the tiny herbs we were growing in our backyard pots had HEALTH benefits made us curious about the other plants around us which led us down long and winding roads about herbs and their potential uses - including how the very first beers brewed were made from herbs before hops was ever even used.

The more we fell in love with beer the more beer and herbs seemed like an obvious intentional combination - and it was decided - if we ever opened a brewery, we'd brew Medicinal Herb infused Craft Beer....and so we did.
